  21. Has anyone worked with the magellan 3D controller which was introduced at
  22. Siggraph 95? It's somthing like a 3d mouse. Similar to the SpaceBall(tm) on
  23. SGI systems. You know, you can twist and push/pull the thing in many ways to
  24. control eyepoint/model orientation etc. I think it would make a cool addition
  25. to any LW platform for moving the camera around w/o having to toggle move or
  26. rotate in Layout ( I know, hitting the spacebar is tedious).  The magellan
  27. works in TANDEM with the mouse. We've been using the  Spaceball at work in
  28. visual simulation apps for years and let me tell you there's no more natural
  29. way to navigate in 3D one you get used to it. It apparently already comes with
  30. drivers for (micro)SoftImage, Alias and a whole slew of CAD/CAM apps.
